Christopher M. Chambers

  • Christopher started his professional career in investment banking and was Head of European Equity Capital Markets at Credit Suisse before joining Man Investments as CEO and main board member of Man Group, the global hedge fund.
  • He is currently a Senior Advisor to Lone Star Europe, member of the supervisory boards of Berenberg Bank, Swiss Prime Site in Switzerland and Chairman of Leonteq.
  • Christopher is also a member of the Board of Directors of Oxford Sciences Innovation and Chairman of Pendragon PLC.

Rainer-Marc Frey

  • Rainer began his career at Merrill Lynch in 1987 working in equity, fixed income and swap markets.
  • He was appointed Director of Trading at Salomon Brothers in Zurich, Frankfurt and London.
  • Rainer founded one of Europe's first hedge fund groups, RMF Investment Group in 1992.
  • RMF Investment Group was sold to Man Investments in 2002 where Rainer remained in various Senior Executive roles until 2005.
  • He founded Horizon21 AG, a private Investment Office in 2005 where he remains Chairman of the Board of Directors.
  • Founder and Board Member of the Frey Charitable Foundation Switzerland.
  • Rainer was a member of the Board of Directors of UBS AG from October 2008 to May 2014.
  • He was a member of the Board of Directors of DKSH, a Swiss listed company from 2008 to 2018.

Amine Tazi-Riffi

  • Amine Tazi-Riffi is a former Senior Partner of  McKinsey, based in the Geneva/Zurich offices. He is now an independent Advisor, PE / Investor and Board member.
  • During his nearly 25-year career at McKinsey, Amine served leading institutions and governments in more than 30 countries with a stronger focus on emerging economies, mainly in Middle East, Africa and Central & East. Europe.
  • He is the founder of the North & West Africa practice and was co-leader for the expansion into 7 African offices. He also served co-leader of our Global Energy & Mining,Telecom & High Tech as well as Regional Leader for the Public & Social Sector Practice in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
  • He is now a Senior Advisor and collaborates with PE platforms in Middle East & Africa. He also serves on the Board of Directors of FTI (Germany) and Orascom Development (Egypt).
  • Aminehas BSc. and MSc from Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), an MSc in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from MIT and an MBA from INSEAD.

Dr Frank Richter

  • Frank started his professional career at McKinsey &Company in 1991 working in automotive, electronics and chemical industries in strategy consulting, M&A and value-oriented business management.
  • After a break for doctoral studies and post-doc lecturing, he     transferred to Goldman Sachs in 2000 and also was appointed to the     Business Strategy and Financing Chair at Witten/Herdecke University as an     adjunct professor.
  • In late 2004, he went to Ulm University as a professor of business strategy and finance, while he continued serving on various supervisory boards
  • From 2011 till 2020Frank was CEO at Duravit AG, and since July 2020 he is Managing Director at SKion GmbH, an industrial investments firm
  • He currently is also member of the supervisory board of ALTANA AG.

Jean-Claude Garo

  • Jean-Claude serves as Portfolio Manager & Head of Equities at Spectrum Value Management(SVM), a single family office of a long-standing Swiss industrial family.
  • He is responsible for global investments across private & public markets, direct or via funds, incl. strategic asset allocation and investment selection.
  • Since2010, he built up his expertise in Direct Investments, Private Equity and Venture Capital as well as Board roles for a number of global Direct Investments and LP Advisory Committee positions with PE managers such as Partners Group.
  • Furthermore, he advises the Group CEO on his board mandates of publicly listed global companies within and outside the SVM Group in building materials, industrial machine manufacturing, financial services and medical devices.
  • Prior to SVM, Jean-Claude held leadership roles in Management & Strategy Consulting with Monitor Group and Arthur D. Little focusing on projects in restructuring & post merger integration as well as operations management in the Energy & Utilities sector, Pharma and High Tech industry across Europe and the US.
  • Jean-Claude holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering and a MSc in Industrial Engineering both from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zürich as well as an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau and Singapore.

Bruno Sidler

Group COO

  • Bruno completed his commercial education at KV Zurich Business School specializing in supply chain management and participated in various management courses at IMD,Lausanne, Switzerland.
  • He has held various management positions with the Panalpina Group in Africa, Asia and Switzerland between 1980 and 2006, being appointed CEO of the Panalpina Group in 1998 and taking the company public in 2005.
  • He then spent 6 years with CEVA Logistics based in Zurich and Amsterdam as a member of the Executive Board responsible for the Group’s Northern Europe business from 2007 until 2009 and as Group COO from 2010 until 2012.
  • Prior to joining Lonrho, Bruno spent four years with Swiss listed DKSH, Asia’s leading Market Expansion Services provider based in Zurich and Bangkok.
  • In May 2017, Bruno was appointed to the newly created function of Executive Chairman for Lonrho Logistics and Lonrho Market Expansion Services before being appointed Group COO in November 2017.
  • He previously sat on the Board of Directors of APL/Neptune Orient Line, Singapore and LUXAIR, the national airline of Luxembourg. Bruno currently sits on the Board of Bertschi Logistics and Global Airlift Solutions in Switzerland as well as the Houston based start-up e2log.

Ashleigh Woolf

Chief Legal Officer

  • Ashleigh is a dual-qualified Solicitor in the United Kingdom (Solicitors Regulation Authority) and South Africa (Attorney of the High Court).
  • She holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Advanced Business Management III) as well as a Bachelor of Law Degree from Wits University.
  • Ashleigh originally qualified as a lawyer at ENSafrica. Her experience is largely focused on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, general corporate law and compliance in Europe and most Sub-Saharan African territories.
  • She held the position of Legal Counsel at PruProtect (a subsidiary of Prudential and later, Discovery) and a senior legal position as Associate Director at Salamanca, a financially regulated international private equity and risk management group.
  • Ashleigh was appointed as Lonrho Group’s Chief Legal Officer and member of the Executive Management Committee in December 2017, having previously held the positions of Head of Legal and Compliance (2016) and Group Legal Counsel (2015).

Evan Edwards

  • Evan heads the Investment function at Lonrho and is responsible for origination, transaction execution and portfolio monitoring.
  • He began his career at Standard Bank in the Corporate Finance team, with a focus on both M&A and ECM transactions in Africa.
  • He holds a BA Economics from Yale University.
  • Evan led Lonrho’s most recent acquisition into the Brands Consumer Group business, and has been involved in a number of successful exits for the company.

Suvarna Issirinarain

Head of Finance

  • Suvarna started her career at Deloitte, moving to KPMG where she completed her articles and qualified as a Charted Accountant(SA).
  • Post articles, Suvarna joined Net1 UEPS Technologies Inc. ("Net1") as a Financial Manager before joining Lonrho. At Net1 Suvarna was responsible for complying with NASDAQ and JSE reporting requirements that were required of the consolidated group.
  • Suvarna holds a Bachelor of Accounting and a Bachelors of Honours Accounting from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal.
  • Suvarna is responsible for the Finance function at Lonrho, including statutory accounting, audit, budgeting, treasury and financial analysis.
